Music Video {Visual Mood-Board and Video Influences}

Mood-Board:
Here is a visual mood-board I created for the monster costume, as I thought it would be good for us to see costumes that have already been produced, allowing us to see what aspects are common and should be took into consideration when creating ours.

After having a conversation with Connie, I managed to see her vision regarding the creation process as she took it upon herself to continue the role of creating the costume due to her being very creative. The influences she has found for this project were 'Beetlejuice' which is a film, 'The Gruffalo' which is a children's book and 'Where The Wild Things Are' which is a children's book and film.

Here are examples of monsters taken from 'The Gruffalo' which is a children's book and 'Where The Wild Things Are' which is a children's book and film.

Video Influences:
Here is three videos that we are going to take visual influences from:

Daft Punk - Da Funk

'Daft Punk - Da Funk' features someone dressed up dog that documents them travelling through a city and showing peoples reactions.

Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin Down

'Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin Down (Concept Version)' as it documents a young boy with antlers on portrays aloneness, as it shows he is an outcast from the world and is just trying to fit into society which is the concept we want to portray within our music video.

Seafret - Atlantic

'Sea Fret - Atlantis' is a perfect video for us to use as influence because it shows a monster throughout the duration of the music video which is what we are trying to portray. The hairy monster is a good reference for our group as it shows us visual points for our group when creating our own monster.
