Promotional Video {Analysis of 4 Promotional Videos}

Types of Promotional / Corporate Video
There are 6 different types of corporate videos:
  • Production Launch / Marketing 
  • Promote Key Messages & Values
  • Internal Communications {internal communications is the function responsible for effective communications among participants within an organisation}
  • Internal / External Training {internal training offers employers and employees advantages that are not found when you send an employee to an external training program or seminar}
  • Show-Reels {a show-reel which also known as a demo reel is a short piece of video or film footage showcasing an actor or presenter's previous work}
  • Event Coverage
I think promotional videos are produced to show the main purpose of something, being an event, competition or a place. Promotional videos get straight to the main aspects it wants to portray. The music normally used within promotional videos tend to be more upbeat so that the audience will want to continue watching and find out more information. Promotional Videos also contain lots of information regarding what the are promoting, however the information is short and straight to the point so the audience wont get bored of having to read all the information.

Street Style: Berlin Denim - H&M Life
 

  • This is a promotional video created for H&M; this particular video was created to communicate a certain message to their audience, that message being Street Style, Berlin Denim. The main focus of this promotional video is within the visuals, as the focus is upon the Berlin Denim, H&M has created for their clothing company. This promotional video has no dialogue within it, due to it's main purpose is the visuals; having no dialogue and just faint music allows the audience to admire the clothing themselves instead of being told what to see. The delivery of this video, is very urban stylistic and features individuals with different styles but linking them with their environment. The colour scheme within this video is very muted with slight splash of colour every now and then, making the footage very contrasted; you can tell that there is a filter over the footage making it appear very instagram worthy.


Car Motor - Promo

  • This promotional video features various cars, that are from well known companies such as: Porsche, BMW, Audi this is shown in various close up shots, probably shot using a macro lens due to the details being perfectly in focus and crisp. This promotional video is aimed at both people who are interested in cars as well as the people that can afford these type of cars. This video was made by Car Motor which is a new car channel for motoring enthusiast, they portray various cars within the motoring world in order to take their audience through this magnificent experience of car passion.

Apple - Perspective

  • This is a promotional video created by Apple to display perspectives from their company; it was constructed for those who have always seen things differently. This video uses a very minimalistic theme, this has been created using a very limited colour palette, the only colours portrayed in this short clip are primary colours: red, blue and yellow which looks slightly gold which could be taken as Apple being on top with a golf medal business. This video is focused on words constructed with the mindset of displaying a video for people who have always seen things differently. 

Business Training Video 


  • This is a promotional video created for Business Training; these types of videos are created to train onboard employees, partners and potential customers faster and are more cost effective for big companies. This video is to help show other companies how corporate training videos are used and how crucial it is to have training videos that engage an audience while making the messages involved stick.
